I have been ordained as a Lutheran pastor for 15 years and graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1998 with a Masters of Divinity. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies from California State University, Sacramento and an Associate of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from Sacramento City College.
My early years of ministry were spent serving large congregations in Lakeville, Minnesota and Tempe, Arizona. I came to Nebraska in 2003 to serve a rural congregation, First Lutheran Church in Avoca.
In 2007, I received a call from Rejoice! Lutheran Church in Omaha and the Nebraska Synod to develop a new congregation in the growing suburbs of western Omaha. I am currently the pastor developer of Living Grace Lutheran Church.
I live in Elkhorn, Nebraska with my wife Lori and three children — Noah, Sarah, and Rachel.
I have a passion for finding ways of making the words of the Bible connect with people’s lives by applying its ancient truths to modern life. I also enjoy learning and finding ways to apply principles and ideas from history, business, finance, psychology and the arts to Christian congregation life and leadership.
